Understand the Psychology Behind Decision-Making

Behavioral Economics is where Psychology meets Economics. It examines how people make decisions—not as perfectly rational beings but as individuals driven by emotions, biases, and instincts.

At the University of New York in Prague (UNYP), students in the Bachelor of Business Administration program can specialize in Behavioral Economics with a Concentration Certificate. This program equips students with powerful insights into human behavior, essential for solving real-world challenges in business, finance, marketing, and policymaking.

Why does this matter? Companies, governments, and NGOs increasingly use Behavioral Economics to influence decision-making, optimize strategies, and shape policies. Graduates with this expertise stand out in corporate strategy, finance, consulting, law enforcement, and politics.

To earn the Behavioral Economics Concentration Certificate, students complete 12 credits (24 ECTS credits) in specialized courses and focus their bachelor’s thesis on a relevant topic. This targeted approach gives graduates a competitive edge in today’s job market.
