Global communication is something that we tend to take for granted. It is not only a compulsory course in the Communication and Media major, but also a term that has become a more or less household word. Using it does not tend to raise many eyebrows, or cause confusion. Everyone seems to understand what is without having to talk about it. But what if this thing we refer to all the time does not really exist? Dr. Nesbitt takes on the idea in a review of Hafez and Grune’s “Foundations of Global Communication” in the European Journal of Communication (Volume 38 Issue 3, June 2023).
