Why Study at UNYP

Our bachelor’s and master’s degree courses are accredited by prominent European and American accrediting bodies. Accreditation of your degree is extremely important because it affects the value and acceptance of your diploma in the academic world and your future career. Accreditation is the quality assurance for the education you will receive.

UNYP students who study the American bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication & Media, International Relations, or Psychology have the dual degree option. Students meeting the requirements are awarded two separate degrees, an American degree from the State University of New York, Empire State University, and a European bachelor’s degree (bakalář, Bc.) awarded by UNYP.

Our faculty members not only know all of their students’ names, but make sure that every student gets an appropriate level of attention in the classroom.

Our campus and student residence buildings are located in the lovely central district of Vinohrady, and combine historical charm with cutting-edge technology. But don’t just take our word for it – come and see for yourself!

All of our buildings have Wi-Fi throughout, so that you can use your own laptops, tablets and smartphones. We also use Moodle, an online intranet database where students can access course material and student-relevant information like final grades, or chat with other UNYP students and faculty. We have multiple computer labs and on site printing center.

Our students come from around the globe! We have students with more than 60 nationalities from the EU, North and South America, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We have an Alumni network that spans more than half the countries in the world!

UNYP has 125 professors coming from more than 30 countries (of whom a majority are native English speakers). This multicultural background makes UNYP the most diverse university in the Czech Republic, and offers our students an amazing advantage in preparing for the globalized world where they will be working.

Whether you’re an aspiring Messi, a budding debate champion, a star of the small screen or you prefer the life of the mind, you’ll find friends at UNYP with similar tastes. Student run activities are a big party of the UNYP expereince with clubs focused on running, Model United Nations, UNYP TV, Film Club, Humans of UNYP, there is something for everone.

Each year UNYP is giving need and merit based scholarships to students worth nearly $200,000 USD.
