UNYP Hosted International Student Research Conference 2025

We were proud to host the 2025 International Student Research Conference (ISRC) at the University of New York in Prague.

ISRC 2025 brought together undergraduate researchers from across Europe to share their work, connect with peers, and gain experience in academic presentation. The event allowed students to share research findings across disciplines and institutions.

This year’s conference featured nine student presenters—six from UNYP and three from our international partner institutions: the Medical University of Silesia, University of Szeged, and Université de Toulouse. The topics covered a wide range of issues, including substance addiction, neurocognitive processes, elderly health, and the effects of gaming on the brain.
The program also included three keynote sessions:

Dr. Libby Hladik discussed the importance of inclusion through cultural participation for children with developmental disabilities.

Prof. Dr. Čarna Brković examined Yugoslav contributions to international humanitarian debates in the 1970s.

Matyáš Boháček, Czech AI Personality Award and České Hlavičky laureate, explored methods for detecting AI-generated content in the context of model collapse.

One of the program highlights was the Audience Award for Best Presentation, which was awarded to Viktor Bednář for his talk comparing alcohol and methamphetamine addiction.

The conference was organized by a team of UNYP student volunteers who managed all aspects of the event, from planning and logistics to marketing and moderation. Their efforts over the past six months ensured that the conference ran smoothly. Each team member received a certificate acknowledging their contribution.

We thank all who participated—students, guest speakers, faculty members, and attendees—for making ISRC 2025 a valuable academic experience.
