EU Council Presidency of the Czech Republic in 2022

Jan Kovář coauthored a peer-reviewed article in the Czech Journal of International Relations in which the authors focus on the performance of the Czech Republic during its second EU Council presidency in the second half of 2022. This was the first presidency the country held under the Lisbon rules. The second EU Council presidency was also heavily affected by the Russian aggression against Ukraine leading to the EU and the Czech Republic having to promptly revise their policy priorities. This article evaluates the performance of the Czech Republic during its second EU Council presidency in the fields of security, energy and rule of law in the shadow of the suddenly changed international context.
