Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome a crew from TV Nova to our campus. TV Nova reached out to learn more about the University of New York in Prague and to hear our insights on the upcoming American elections. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as Professor Todd Nesbitt’s Media and Society class was in session, focusing on the role of the news media—an ideal topic to complement the crew’s visit.
After a warm welcome, we escorted the team to Professor Nesbitt’s classroom, where they had the opportunity to interview him and engage with students about the impact of media on elections. This experience provided a valuable intersection of classroom theory and real-world application, sparking insightful discussions that were both timely and relevant.
We’re grateful to have had this unique opportunity to bring current events directly into our students’ learning environment, highlighting the real-time importance of media in society.
