Oscar Hidalgo-Redondo

Oscar Hidalgo holds the position of the Dean of School of International Relations. Born in the Basque Country in Spain, he earned an M.Phil. by research in Politics and Government from Graduate School of Politics and International Relations of the University of Kent at Canterbury and an M.A. in Politics and Sociology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Mr. Hidalgo joined UNYP in 2001 and has since been teaching courses on politics and international relations. In 2005, he was awarded the outstanding faculty award for teaching excellence at UNYP. His current research interests are political violence, nationalism and regionalism and Southern European politics.
