AI in Grant Management: Enhancing Efficiency and Overcoming Challenges

Author: Bočková, Kateřina; Procházka, David Anthony; Bartoš, Pavel

A newly published article explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms the management of scientific and educational projects funded by Slovakia’s KEGA and VEGA grant schemes.

The research highlights AI’s role in streamlining project processes—from initiation and planning to implementation, monitoring, and closure. Key benefits include automating administrative tasks, optimizing resource allocation, and using predictive analysis to support decision-making.

AI tools such as chatbots and machine learning algorithms also improve communication and project monitoring. The findings suggest that AI not only simplifies complex grant management but also enhances the quality of project outcomes.

However, challenges remain. The study points to gaps in AI integration across different project phases and raises ethical concerns about its use. To address these issues, researchers recommend educating project managers on AI applications and developing strategies for effective implementation.

This article offers fresh insights into AI-driven project management and introduces valuable tools to help teams achieve better results.
