European Bachelor in Business Administration — Concentration in Finance

Count the value of a Business Administration degree with a Finance concentration

Studying a Business Administration degree with a Finance concentration at the University of New York in Prague will allow students to hone business skills that are highly desirable to future employers and will allow a fresh graduate’s resume to stand out from the rest. Whether or not you intend to pursue a career in this field, finance is at the core of all business decision-making. Businesses of all sizes need financial experts, so choosing to study this field is an excellent first step to a stable professional future. It is also worth mentioning that financial skills are as important in our day-to-day lives as they are in the corporate world!

Finance is at the core of all business decision-making… Businesses of all sizes need financial experts.

This concentration in finance prepares students for their professional careers by offering several specialized courses in the last two semesters (the last year) of their study at UNYP. The courses are taught by skilled and experienced lecturers with proven expertise and credentials in finance and financial services.

There are two paths for students studying Finance concentration within a Business Administration degree. The first path would be for students that want to enroll in the 3-year European program leading to a bachelor’s degree (bakalář, Bc.) awarded by UNYP and accredited by the American International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), and the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NAÚ). Alternatively, students that want an American degree as well as the UNYP degree must be enrolled in the State University of New York, Empire State University and UNYP Dual degree program. In either path, to obtain the concentration in Finance, students must obtain 12 credits (24 ECTS credits) in courses from the list of the concentration subjects; select a topic for the bachelor thesis in a topic related to the concentration focus; and succeed in the Czech State Exam and earning the UNYP bachelor’s degree. The name of the concentration will appear in the UNYP Diploma Supplement along with the specification of the Major.

The European Bachelor’s Program in Business Administration
is currently under reaccreditation and cannot accept new applications
until the reaccreditation process has been completed.
