Czech Broadcaster Visits Campus to Discuss US Elections with UNYP Students

Yesterday, the University of New York in Prague (UNYP) welcomed a TV Nova crew to campus to discuss the upcoming U.S. elections and learn more about UNYP’s academic perspective on current affairs.

The visit coincided perfectly with Professor Todd Nesbitt’s Media and Society class, which was examining the role of news media in shaping public opinion. This timing created an ideal setting for meaningful discussion and real-world engagement.

During the visit, the TV Nova team interviewed Professor Nesbitt and spoke with UNYP students about the influence of media on elections. The conversation connected classroom theory with real-time political developments, encouraging thoughtful analysis and student participation.

We are grateful for this opportunity to bring current events directly into the learning experience and to highlight the importance of media literacy in today’s society.
