Student Clubs

There is much more to university life than simply attending class. Connecting with your peers and with your passions through student clubs and activities can, together with your academic experience, give you the tools and experiences you will need to thrive as a person during and after your university experience.

UNYP has many student clubs and activities, from the dance club to the Psychology club. And if you would like to start a new student club we are happy to help you do so!

At UNYP All Stars, we believe everybody is a star and so we encourage everyone to express and share their interest in dance. We create videos, choreographies, and performances for UNYP and our viewers!

The Finance Club at UNYP is a new Club that is a student-led effort aimed at increasing financial awareness via engaging and creative activities, events, conversations, and seminars.

The Club’s aims are as follows:

— To pick students’ interest in finance by sharing stories from students, teachers, and alumni.

— To offer a thorough grasp of the finance industry, including the occupations and qualifications associated with it.

— To assist members in developing their interpersonal skills, including leadership and presentation skills.

— To give the basic fundamental understanding on how the stock market works.

The International Friends Club (IFC) aims to provide an opportunity to form new friendships and create a strong community. Part of the IFC is a Buddy Program, where full-time UNYP students are matched with Erasmus/exchange students and help the visiting students better orient themselves in a new environment. IFC organizes various events within different areas of interest, such as sightseeing, party, sport, and arts & culture.

The Literature club has a vibrant community of students who share a passion for literature, writing, and storytelling. We have discussion events in bookstores around Prague or cozy rooms with a cup of tea to discuss a wide range of literary works, from classic novels to contemporary bestsellers. This is a great opportunity to share thoughts and insights with fellow book lovers. We also have writing workshops, poetry slams, open mic nights, book fairs, and various other literary events.

MUNYP has emerged as an initiative for creating a platform for young scholars interested in international relations to discuss global current affairs.

Since Fall 2015, our club has grown considerably in size, with students showing dedication, passion and enthusiasm in meetings and their increasing interest in participating in domestic or international model UN conferences.

In 2018 we grew even further, by holding our first conference at the university. Since then our yearly international high school conference has grown to an outstanding group of 115 students from many different countries. And we look forward to hosting many more successful conference in the future.

In the UNYP MultiMedia Club, we wish to build a community of students who enjoy photography, videography, editing or other media related activities. We want to give students the opportunity to bond with others who share similar interests and take part in various events including photo walks, workshops and media coverage for UNYP activities.

We are looking forward to having a group of active students that would like to share their own ideas, offer feedback and partake in discussions about various media related topics.

Film & Content Makers Group:

The Film & Content Makers Club is a sub-group of the Multimedia club. We are a community for multimedia enthusiasts, with a primary focus on filmmaking and personal branding through social media platforms. Our goal is to connect students for creative collaboration, while sharing valuable life hacks and the latest trends in video and content creation.

The club’s mission is to help students network and collaborate on each other’s projects. We believe that through the club, students can enhance their personal brands, build websites, and deepen their knowledge of filmmaking.

The UNYP Psychology club is an academic club that is focused on creating a community of people who love psychology. We organize both educational and entertaining events, such as seminars and workshops with guest speakers, movie nights, psychology quiz nights, trips, and yoga sessions!

Our club is open to all students regardless of their major or year of study. We also strive to be a voice for Psychology students to represent them in the school since we directly work with the Faculty. Annually, the Psychology Club officers help with the International Student Research Conference (ISRC) organization: an event where students can present their own research!

We try to research and compile resources that will help you in your studies and career as a psychology student.
