Ondřej Dvouletý has obtained a master's degree in economic policy at the Prague University of Economics and Business (Ing.) and a master's degree in entrepreneurship at Linnaeus University in Sweden (MSc.). In 2017, he completed his doctoral studies (Ph.D.) at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Prague University of Economics and Business. In 2020, he successfully defended his habilitation thesis entitled Economic Effects of Entrepreneurship Support in the Czech Republic in front of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prague University of Economics and Business, and based on this, he was appointed Associate Professor for the field of Business Economics and Management.
For a long time, he has been researching entrepreneurial activity, evaluating the impacts of public entrepreneurship supporting policies, business economics and the labor market economics. His research has been published in leading international scientific journals, such as Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, and European Journal of Innovation Management. Ondřej Dvouletý received several awards for his research activities, including the Josef Hlávka Award (2017) or the award for an outstanding research article published in the international scientific journal Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (2020).
He is involved in various international projects, and he also actively contributes to the development of the academic community as a reviewer of academic studies and research projects. He also serves on the editorial boards of several scientific journals (such as Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies) and is also involved in a number of professional groups. He is a member of the Czech Evaluation Society, and he is a member of the Committee for socioeconomic development that is a part of the Czech Government Council for Sustainable Development. He devotes his free time to hiking, outdoor sports and sightseeing.
