Tess Slavíčková

With a strong background in language teaching and examining, Dr. Slavíčková specializes in critical discourse analysis. Dr. Slavickova has been teaching courses in the School of Communication and Media at UNYP since 2001. In 2011, she obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University. Her area of specialization is critical text analysis and forms of rhetoric in media and political texts. She also worked as an English language teacher in Portugal and France, a book editor at Oxford University Press, and as managing editor of a journal for teacher trainers at the British Council in Prague.
