Our ongoing enrollment process means that you can apply for any program all year round. Students can apply to complete one of our bachelor’s, master’s or MBA degree programs, or even just join us for a semester on our Study Abroad program.
The requirements listed here are the minimum requirements for students to be considered for one of our programs. Students will also need to successfully pass an interview with an academic advisor, and prove themselves to be suitable for admittance. Following the American philosophy of education, UNYP is pleased to give suitable candidates the opportunity to experience higher education, but all students who are admitted will be required to maintain a high grade point average to remain on the course. The entire admission process can be completed remotely.
Please note that any documents not originally in English must be submitted with a certified translation in English.
Please note that all UNYP freshman students must submit an English Diagnostic Essay during their orientation week. Students who score a grade of NP (Not Pass) will be required to take English Composition Skills in their first semester at UNYP. This will strengthen the foundation for success in their university studies.
The Math Aptitude Test is mandatory for Business Administration and IT majors.
The test covers pre-algebra and college algebra skills, and ensures that students are placed in the courses appropriate for their skills, which is essential for their success.
Students can take the Math Aptitude Test only once and it must be before starting their studies at UNYP. The Math Aptitude Test has up to two parts depending upon performance and is up to two hours long. Each part contains 25 questions.
Students are encouraged to take this test seriously as it will determine placement in their first math class (Algebra Skills or College Algebra).
Students who score less than 18 points (out of 25) on Part 1 are placed in the Algebra Skills foundation course, and the Math Aptitude Test will end at that point. Students who score a minimum of 18 points (out of 25) on Part 1 will be invited to continue to Part 2.
Students who score less than 18 points (out of 25) on Part 2 take College Algebra according to their program requirements for math. Students who score a minimum of 18 points (out of 25) on Part 2 will be exempt from College Algebra and take the upper lever course, Calculus.
