About the UNYP Library

The UNYP Library, located at Londýnská 32, directly across the street from the main campus, houses a collection of over 13,000 books, periodicals, and audio/visual materials. It is one of the largest collections of English-language books in Prague.

In addition to textbooks, the library features a growing selection of fiction and popular biographies, offering students a chance to enjoy leisure reading at their convenience.

The library also provides access to 22 PCs, including print-and-go stations, two high-tech meeting rooms, and a spacious study room, all available for student use.

The UNYP Library is an ideal space for studying, working between classes, or collaborating with peers on group projects.

Opening Hours

Monday — Friday: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Project Meeting Rooms

The UNYP Library now offers two brand-new project meeting rooms, available to all students. Whether you need a quiet space for a group project or a conference call, don’t hesitate—book your session online today!

Each meeting room has smart touch displays and can comfortably accommodate up to eight people.

Study Room

On the first floor of the library, there is a recently refurbished quiet study room that doubles as a student gallery (for our more artistically inclined students). It offers additional individual study spaces and is equipped with Wi-Fi and a selection of Czech and English magazines and newspapers.

Newspapers and Magazines

The UNYP library offers a wide selection of Czech and international publications through its subscriptions. Students can enjoy these resources to stay informed about current events, conduct research, or pass the time. Available publications include: Marketing and Media, The Economist, Psychologie Dnes, The Week, Aspen Review, and Taiwan Review.

Online Resources

UNYP provides students with a wide array of online library resources. Notably, UNYP is the first university in the Czech Republic to offer access to the English-language e-textbook library, Perlego.

In addition to Perlego, which features more than 1 million publications, UNYP students can access Statista for statistical data and research. Furthermore, through our partnership with SUNY Empire State University, students can access the SUNY Empire Online Library, which includes over 60,000 electronic books and thousands of journals.
