What do Czech academics say about the war in Gaza?

Dr. Jakub Zahora co-authored an article with Tereza Plistilova and Jakub Kolacek from Charles University regarding the Czech academic reactions to the war in Gaza in POMEPS Studies. The article, a part of a special issue on how political science has reacted to the events of October 7 and the ensuing Israeli operation in Gaza, traces the attitudes of the local academic community in the context of the Czech uncritical support for the Israeli steps and policies. It shows that while the Czech political scientists have historically largely refrained from publicly intervening in the discussion on Israel/Palestine, the developments since October have gradually led to expressing discontent with the Czech foreign policy towards the Middle East.
