George Prokopakis — Program Leadership

Professor Prokopakis graduated from the Greek Military Academy and served as an Artillery officer before transitioning to the Information Technology Department. He earned a degree in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

His professional experience includes working on Command and Control Systems (C4I) and Healthcare Information Systems (HIS). He has been teaching programming courses since 2001 at New York College and previously taught at the Greek Army Computer Programmers School until 2010.

His academic interests include programming languages, algorithms, web technologies, and databases.

Professor Prokopakis’s Specializations: Python, C/C++, Java, PHP, MySQL, Linux, Mac OS X, Apache, Qt, Laravel, Agile methods and SCRUM
