Transform Lives with a Bachelor in Psychology – Master the Art of Understanding and Helping Others

Psychology is one of the most popular majors worldwide. It is a fascinating and dynamic field of science and a gateway to a wide range of opportunities for graduate study and exciting career choices.

The UNYP Bachelor of Psychology degree is a four-year program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in science, particularly in understanding behavior and the mind. The curriculum combines theory with practical experience across all major fields of psychology.

Basic courses emphasize scientific thought, critical thinking, and analysis. More specialized courses explore therapy and mental illness treatment, cultural and family dynamics, and psychology in the workplace.

This program prepares students for two primary career paths: pursuing a graduate degree or entering the workforce directly.

Approximately 80% of UNYP psychology graduates continue their education to complete master’s or doctoral degrees in the Czech Republic and internationally.

Many have pursued further studies at Charles University, Masaryk University, and Palacký University. Others have been accepted to prestigious institutions abroad, such as University College London, King’s College London, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, The New School for Social Research in New York, and the University of New York in Prague.

"The best part of the program was that it required 700 hours of practical experience before being awarded the diploma. This gave me an advantage over graduates of other programs as i came into the field with hundreds of hours of experience which i believe was invaluable. Having completed my studies in English has also broadened mine professional opportunities."
