Why a Writing Lab?

Since UNYP is located in the Czech Republic, where English is not the primary language, the Writing Lab (WRL) offers a valuable space for students to develop their English writing and communication skills. It is a supportive environment where students can confidently express themselves in written and spoken English.

Our tutors guide students to library resources that can help them complete their assignments. WRL tutors do not edit or complete assignments for students. Instead, they guide structure, clarity, and approach, helping students gain confidence in their coursework and projects.

How to Schedule WRL Support

For the most productive session, please:

• Prepare specific questions (e.g., “Are my topic sentences clear?” or “Is this the correct way to cite a video?”).
• Have your writing ready in an MS Word document to share if needed.
