Marek Vokoun
Marek Vokoun graduated in Economic Policy from the University of Economics in Prague, where he also obtained his Ph.D. in Economics and Economic Administration in 2014. During his tenure at this institution, he was an active member of research and pedagogic project teams and worked as a system integrator while also engaging in teaching. Since 2014, he focused primarily on the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, where he held positions such as a research assistant and became the head of the Department of Economics and Management in 2018. In 2018, he transitioned to the Faculty of Socio-Economic Studies at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, where he currently works actively and is pursuing habilitation in the field of Business Economics and Management. In 2022, he initiated collaboration with UNYP and leads the teaching of applied economic methods in the econometrics course. Marek Vokoun is also involved in the editorial board of setuotbooks.cz publishing and, since 2023, serves as the Chief executive editor of the New Perspective on Political Economy journal at CEVRO Institute. He is a co-author of several books, such as "Labor Markets in the Czech Republic after 1989," and has published numerous scholarly articles. His research interests span multiple areas of economics, including innovation and business behavior, regional development and labor market dynamics, human resource management, and economic contexts in the Czech Republic. His interdisciplinary approach is also evident in his work, which covers historical (cliometric approach), managerial (process innovation), and political aspects (globalization).
