Dr Sebalo is a researcher and statistician mainly investigating aggressive behaviour, risk assessment, conspiratorial belief and cognitive processes, suicidal behaviour, the interplay between lifestyle and mental health, and the treatment of forensic patients. He is currently working for the First Medical Faculty of Charles University. Previously Dr Sebalo worked in a High Secure Forensic Hospital, the University of Central Lancashire, and the University of Kent. At UNYP he teaches undergraduate courses in Statistics and the Use of Experimental Methods as well as Forensic Psychology and Research Methods in Psychology for the Masters program.
